HIS 112 - 20th Century U.S. History Prof. DuBose: Establish a Timeline of Events

Chronologies and Timelines

Your assignment asks you to build a timeline as a first step in your independent research. Building a timeline can also prove helpful for any research project, as it serves as a reference and sets boundaries to your project. You can likely find a detailed chronology on the web or in a library Reference work. You can also mix timelines or add events that you uncover in your own reading.

Timelines on the Web

On the web you will find timelines and chronologies complied by museums, documentary/television productions, educational and historic organizations.

You might do the following Google Search:

TOPIC + TIMELINE

TOPIC + CHRONOLOGY

e.g. Women's History Timeline; 20th Century Student Protest Chronology, Works Project Administration Chronology

Remember to verify information from websites.
