Podcast Studio: Terms & Conditions

The Podcast Studio is available to current WCC students, faculty, staff, and administrators via reservation. Guests for the recording project must be Westchester County residents (ID required). The individual making the reservation assumes responsibility for the room and equipment. Four people are allowed in the Studio at any given time. 

A two-hour booking includes a fifteen-minute period for breakdown and sanitizing the Podcast Studio near the conclusion of your session. After booking a time slot, you will receive an email with a link. Clicking on this link will confirm your booking. Your tentative booking will be canceled if you do not confirm within the specified time frame. Podcasters are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the equipment and software in the Studio. New users should complete a brief equipment orientation video prior to use. The studio is not intended for individual or group study. Food and drinks are prohibited.

The Harold L. Drimmer Library is not responsible for the content created, lost files, or personal items. The College's Internet and Computer Policy applies to all content produced in the Podcast Studio. Downloading, copying, installing, or uninstalling software of any kind is strictly prohibited. 

*Production of Obscene or Pornographic Content in the Studio is also Strictly Prohibited.

 

Equipment

The Podcast Studio is equipped with the RODE RODECaster Pro II 4-Person Podcasting console, PodMics, headphones, and desktop stands. Users must bring a storage device (USB flash drive, external hard drive, etc.). Connecting personal equipment to the console is strictly prohibited. You can watch a video introduction to the equipment in the Harold L. Drimmer Podcast Studio here.


File Storage

All recordings need to be saved to a personal device (e.g., flashcard), SD card, cloud, or your WCC OneDrive account. Files saved to the podcast studio laptop will be deleted at the end of the session.

 

Directions

A maximum of 4 students can be booked in the Podcast Studio at a time. Bookings are two-hour time slots. Please note that the patron booking this reservation is responsible for the room and all its contents during that booking duration.
