Presented by Professor Brian Centrone and the Harold L. Drimmer Library, The Cunning Wrinkle of Newness is the first in-depth exploration of the trouser crease’s origins, implications, and adoptions of the late nineteenth century. Through key images accompanied by an audio guide, this exhibition located along Library rooms 116-121 reveals the trouser crease’s social, economic, and political significance in both America and Great Britain at the turn of the century. Join us in the library for an opening reception on Wednesday, January 25, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Professor Centrone will also present his research on Monday, January 30, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at SUNY Westchester Yonkers.
