Make your own Face Mask (Sew and No-Sew): I WANT TO HELP (sewers and non-sewers)

CDC Warning

The wearing of a cloth face covering does not prevent the wearer from contracting the virus or passing the virus to another, but is an additional layer of protection. Current social distancing protocols still need to be followed.

Mask making help needed

Feeling inspired? Many hospitals are looking for volunteers to sew fabric masks for health care workers to wear over their PPEs to make them last longer and add another layer of protection. Many often request specific styles, so please check before dropping off finished masks.

Various quilting and sewing groups have established relationships and protocols with health care providers to drop off finished masks and can often provide materials and supplies paid for through donations.
