Your assignment

Students may pick topics that interest them, but these topics must be researchable
and approved by the professor via the Research Proposal.

Students must pick a research question that is narrow enough and specific enough to be researched in the limited space and time. This narrow focus will allow students to develop a very pointed argument. Students will move away from report-based writing
toward being able to answer questions that have a unique perspective, and which cannot be answered by a simple Google search.

[Paper length:] 8 pages. A minimum of 5 sources is required. These sources may include a mix of academic journals, articles, books, and/or other media on or related to the topic.
