ENG. 101 - Writing & Research - Professor Francine Walker - Fall 2021: Home

Welcome! This research guide was created for students in Professor Walker's Writing and Research class.

You are required to write a research paper on a topic of your choice based on the book The Color of Water.

An argumentitive essay requires you to investigate a topic; collect, generate, and evaluate evidence; and establish a position on the topic in a concise manner.

Can you support your ideas?

You will need to include an annotated bibliography as part of the research process when you are finding and assessing your sources.

Citing your sources correctly is an important component of any research assignment. Your essay should include parenthetical (in-text) citations and a Works Cited page using MLA 8 style formatting.
