When you have found an article, click the email button (on the toolbar to the right) to email the abstract to yourself. Choose the Brief Citation and Abstract option in the Standard Field Format to email just the abstract.
You will not be able to forward the emailed article later on. Your options are to either go back into the database (via the email link) and send a copy to Prof. Jazwinski, or include both your email and his in the email box, separated by a semicolon (after your article is approved : do not send him ever article you come across). Be sure to take advantage of the Subject and Note fields so he knows who this is coming from and which class this is for.
You can also email the entire article to yourself by checking the PDF attachment option. Remember: If you try to access the article from off-campus, you will need to log in with your MyWCC user ID and password.
Once your article is approved, use the email link to go back to the database and print the full text out. You may need to click on the .pdf icon to see the entire text and use the print toolbar that loads with the article. An MLA 8th ed formatted citation is available by clicking the Cite button in the Tools bar which you can copy + paste into a Word doc. You will need hand in properly formatted citation Works Cited page along with your summaries.
Do not copy and email yourself the URL in the browser window expecting to access the article later via that link. It will time out after your search session is closed. If you want to save articles for later, use the email button or save them to your computer or a flash drive if on campus.
