Vanessa Goncalves, a WCC student, recently started an SGA Environmental Committee. She is planning to start a website that will have resources for all the environmental organizations and information about campus environmental projects.
Part of the WCC Environmental Club history began with Paul Presendieu, Peter Singh, Ashley Bruno, WCC students, and now alumni. They established the Environmental Club out of concern and dedication for a greener campus for all staff and students.
You can reach out to the Environmental Club by contacting the club advisors Carol Capobianco and Mary Hegarty.

The students of the WCC Climate Reality Chapter are already at work. Creating this chapter will allow more resources to make real change in environmental sustainability on campus. Our chapter members come from the Environmental Club and the Student Government Association (SGA) Green Committee.
Our immediate goals include passing a by-law in SGA that calls for excess student activity fee funds to go towards climate action projects on campus and to pass a resolution for a campus-wide plastic ban. The Environmental Club has been able to implement several new water bottle refill stations on campus.
We are collecting data from students to support our resolutions with a survey and a plastic ban petition.
